Do you often eat seaweed ? A typical Asian staple, they are normally much less consumed in Europe.
Nevertheless, they are extremely nutritious and they taste delicious !
Seaweed are sea vegetables and they can be classified by colour.
The most common ones in Europe are Dulse, Wakame, Hijiki, Kelp, Kombu and Sea spaghetti. You can easily find most of them in any organic shop.
Seaweed are full of anti-oxidants, iodine, minerals and vitamins. They can also be locally cultivated : Europe biggest seaweed production comes from Brittany.
This year I’ve eaten loads of seaweed tartare ! I love its taste and its texture, it’s very healthy, light and simply delicious.
Here is my easy, vegan and delicious seaweed tartare recipe made with different sort of seaweed.

Rehydrate the dried seaweed in water for 2-3 minutes, then dry them well.
Finely chop the pickles, the capers, the shallot and the peeled radish.
Then mix all the ingredients and seasoning. It’s done !
