Russia will bring the book to the exhibition LIBER leading contemporary writers

Books by leading contemporary Russian writers, as well as the classics of Russian literature, children's, educational, and research publications will represent Russia at the 30th International Book Fair LIBER in Barcelona, ??which will open on October 2, RIA Novosti reported organizers of the exhibition.

A distinctive feature of the largest Spanish Fair LIBER is that it passes alternately in Madrid and Barcelona. The exhibition is focused more on professional communication book industry figures - conclusion mezhizdatelskih contracts, purchase the rights to publish books. LIBER will be held over four days. Russian stand open in the evening on October 2. The official organizer of the Russian stand - Fund "Yeltsin Presidential Center."

But the Spanish fans will be waiting for Russian literature in different urban areas, one way or another related to the book industry - at the university, bookstores, and libraries.

The exhibition will travel to Barcelona, ??two Russian writer - Alexey Varlamov (author of many books of prose, as well as biographies of Alexander Green, Michael Prishvin, Alexei Tolstoy, Mikhail Bulgakov, and Andrei Platonov, published in the series "Lives of Remarkable People") and Andrew Gelasimov. Their books are translated into many of Spain. Varlamov, who owns the Spanish, also participated in the show in 2009, when Russia was the guest of honor LIBER, held in Madrid. In 2009, the Spanish publishing house Acontilado published his novel "The Birth" in the translation of the leading interpreters of Selma Ansiry. The following year, in her own translation of the novel will be published Varlamov "Loch." Andrew Gelasimov in the delegation of Russian writers participated in the International Book Fair in Frankfurt (2003), Leipzig (2004), Warsaw (2004), Paris (2005, 2012), Budapest (2005), Geneva (2007), New York (2012 ) and others. In Spain, published three books in Spanish - La sed (Tropismos, 2006), in Catalan - La set (Club Editor Barcelona, ??2006), and Raquel (Club Editor Barcelona, ??2008).

Alongside the exhibition will meet with Russian publishers, translators, Slavic, researchers of modern Russian literature. Special attention will be paid to the relationship of literature and cinema against modern Russian writers to the writers of the past, the role of the writer in Russia in XXI century.

Russia's participation in the Spanish Book Fair - one of the phases of the program Read Russia. This is a major program to promote Russian literature and the book industry as a whole to the largest book markets in the world, initiated and implemented by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. In June 2012, Russia was the guest of honor at the book fair Book Expo America in New York. 8 September in Moscow, Pashkov House, the awarding of the first four winners of the award for the best translation of Russian literature into foreign languages, "Read Russia / Read Russia". The competition is designed to support translators and revive the system of literary translation from Russian into leading languages.
